Larkhall cemetery is divided into Sections and Divisions. This wallchart does not give either the section or the division. What the chart actualy covers is the Main body of the cemetery. Split into 5 sections.
This is known as the old part of the cemetery. To the right Comming in from the bottom gate, there is a 6 foot wall with an opening, this will take you to another section of the cemetery and the first buriel in this section took place in 1921.
Across the road is the New Cemetery which was opened in 1965 and is currently in use.

The chart covers only the main section beside and in front of the House, from the back gates to the front gates, it does not cover the 1921 area or the New cemetery.
The Chart gives only the Lair owner, it does not tell you who is buried in the grave.
The Cemeteries Service of South Lanarkshire Council will help with all enquiries relating to burials and war memorials.  They also maintain records of lairs (Lair Title Deeds contain details of headstones), and can carry out searches of records for a small fee. Information is available from the cemeteries office at:- South Lanarkshire Council  Cemeteries Service
